Yuja Panorama Guides
Yuja Panorama Accessibility Plugin
Yuja Panorama scans Moodle resources and produces accessibility scores based on how well content meets accessibility standards. Panorama ‘Accessibility Reports’ can be accessed by clicking the Panorama ‘person’ icon next to the Moodle resource.
Changes to the Accessibility Report Score
We have recently updated how Panorama calculates accessibility scores for LSE Moodle to better meet our accessibility goals as an institution. Newly added content will now be evaluated using a revised scoring that places greater emphasis on the most serious accessibility barriers. Scores will therefore be more responsive to high-severity issues:
If your resource contains accessibility barriers that Panorama detects as ‘severe’ (serious issues that could completely block access for some users), these issues will be reflected prominently, resulting in a lower overall score for the resource.
Resources with minor issues will receive a higher score, even if there are several of them.

What Will You See in Moodle?
Existing resources will retain their previous scores (unless you follow steps to Reprocess Panorama Accessibility Reports.)
When you upload or update a new resource in Moodle, scores will be calculated using the updated scoring approach.
Scores may look low if your resources contain high-severity issues — this is intentional and indicates where to focus improvement.
Why We Made This Change
The Eden Centre Digital Education team believe we should all be taking steps to ensure the content we produce is accessible to students and the LSE professional community. High-severity accessibility issues fundamentally prevent some users from accessing a resource; minor issues, whilst still important, are less likely to block access entirely. By weighting scores towards high-severity barriers, we aim to help colleagues target fixes to accessibility barriers that exclude users.
