Steps

Steps 1-7 are the same as of Add a Moodle link to lecture recordings (Echo 360 recordings).

  1. Log in to Moodle with your LSE Network Username and password.

  2. Navigate to your course, and click Turn editing on.

  3. Scroll to the section in which you want the link to your recordings to appear.

  4. Click Add an activity or resource.

  5. In the “Activity chooser”, select Echo360 Lecture Recordings and Add.

  6. Type a name for the activity, e.g. “Lecture recordings”.

  7. Click Save and display.

  8. At this point you can now choose the academic year you wish to publish (in this case we are choosing to publish recordings from 2019/20). Please contact eden.lecturerecording@lse.ac.uk if you do not see the course section you wish to publish, as you will need to be added as an ‘Instructor’ if this is the case.

Now you can simply continue to fill out the ‘Section’ field to match the academic year:

  9. Hitting the ‘CONNECT’ button at this point will create a recording container on the Moodle page where all recordings previously published to that year will reside. (See below for how to link single recordings)

  10. To publish a single recording from a previous academic year, follow the steps above, but select the option labelled A lesson (a specific lesson item in the the section)’ - See below image highlighted in red:

  11. Once the specific lecture has been located, simply click on the ‘CONNECT’ button. At this point an activity, containing the single lecture only, will be published to the Moodle page:

Linking recordings from multiple courses

Repeat the steps on this page for each course that you wish to link recordings from.

Further information

Students must use the link in your Moodle course to access the recordings. You will not be able to distribute these links to your students by email, or on a web page outside of Moodle.

Using the method above ensures that your students are correctly enrolled in your Echo360 sections.
