How to access student sites on CampusPress (Staff Guide)

As a teacher, you can view the each student site linked to your class. This will allow you to track and assess their progress. Depending on the settings you have chosen for your students, you will also be able to leave comments or see comments other students have left.

Viewing Student Sites

The best way to find student sites is from the ‘Student Blogs’ page of your dashboard.

To find this, log into CampusPress at http://showcase.lse.ac.uk and navigate to the dashboard of your course via My Sites > My Class Blogs > [Select your class from the dropdown] > Dashboard

2. In the menu on the left click My Class > Student Blogs. This page will give you a quick overview of each student's site, including information on any new posts and a direct link to their page.

3. You can use the search bar in the top left to search for blogs by student name. If you wish to search for a student by email address instead, use the student users option > Alternative Method 1: Student Users.

Alternative Method 1: Student Users

Sometimes you may wish to get a quick view of all the students in your class, or to search for a blog by student email address. To do this use the ‘Student Users’ page.

  1. Log into CampusPress at http://showcase.lse.ac.uk and navigate to the dashboard of your course via My Sites > My Class Blogs > [Select your class from the dropdown] > Dashboard

  2. In the menu on the left click My Class > Student Users. This page will give you a list of every student enrolled in your class along with the link to their blog and their email address.

Alternative Method 2: My Sites

All student sites to which you have access are also available from the drop down menu under ‘My Sites’. Sites here are listed in alphabetical order with the naming convention [Module Code] [Year] - [First Name] [Last Name].

This is a quick way to find sites if you only have a small number of students in a small number of sites; however, it will quickly become difficult to navigate as class sizes grow.
