How to choose lecture recording sources

In rooms equipped with a camera, video will be recorded in automatically scheduled recordings. If you are recording your lecture and would like to choose whether to include video of yourself and/or the room, please follow the steps below:

  1. Opt-out of automated recording, using the lecture recording preferences form. If students are registered on your course who have my adjustments in place which include lecture recording, then you should also inform the lecture recording team that you wish to exclude video from your lecture recordings.

  2. Start an ad-hoc recording, selecting only the audio and display inputs at that time. Make sure not to include any inputs labelled "video". Please see our guidance on starting "ad-hoc" recording.
