1. Logging in to Mentimeter 

To create/access your Mentimeter account under the LSE license, you will always need to log-in with SSO (Single Sign-On).

2. Creating presentations and polls

From the Home screen, click the ‘New Menti’ button to create a new blank Menti. You can also click on the small arrow next to that button to specifically select a new quiz or survey style.

3. Participating in polls or surveys

There are three different ways for your audience to connect to your Mentimeter presentation and start participating: 

  • Join via the join code at menti.com 

  • Join via a QR code 

  • Join via a join link 

Join via a join code  

When you create your presentation, a temporary join code used for accessing the presentation appears at the top of the presentation:

The most common way for your audience to start participating is for them to go to www.menti.comon their device (usually a mobile phone, but it can also be a computer or tablet) and enter that code in the text field:

Join via a QR code 

Another way to join is by connecting to the presentation via a QR code. Simply open the camera on your device and scan the QR code to join.

The presenter can share the QR code ahead of time, or display it live during the presentation. 

Join via a join link 

The last way to join is by connecting to the presentation via a jin link. When clicking on the link your audience will get direct access to participate in the presentation.

4. Mentimeter Academy

The Mentimeter Academy offers a series of free self-paced courses to learn more about Mentimeter and how to create presentations and polls. Also, when you complete a Menti Academy course you will receive a certificate of completion to track your learning.

For those new to Mentimeter, the "Getting Started with Mentimeter: Beginner’s Course" is a great option to help you get started with creating presentations and polls on Mentimeter.

Course Curriculum 

The course is divided into six chapters, each containing presentations, videos, and quizzes: 

  1. Introduction to the Mentimeter Beginner’s Course: Overview of the course and Mentimeter Academy. 

  2. What is Mentimeter?: Understanding the basics of Mentimeter. 

  3. What’s in a Mentimeter Presentation?: Exploring different slide types and their uses. 

  4. Creating Your First Presentation: Step-by-step guide to creating a presentation from scratch. 

  5. Engaging Your Audience: Tips and techniques for making your presentations interactive and engaging. 

  6. Finishing Touches: Final steps to polish your presentation. 

There is also a “Progressing with Mentimeter: Intermediate Course” for those users who are more experienced in using Mentimeter in addition to a number of other insightful courses.
