By using scheduling privilege in Zoom, it is possible for LSE staff to schedule one-off or recurrent meetings on behalf of colleagues using the Zoom desktop client or Zoom on the web. If you are scheduling a meeting but do not intend to attend, this method should be used instead of assigning colleagues as an alternative host. There is a risk of meeting clashes if you schedule too many meetings with colleagues as alternative hosts.

Zoom meetings on behalf of others
If staff member A wishes to schedule meetings for staff member B, then staff member B will need to first give staff member A permission to do so by assigning them scheduling privilege in Zoom. This only needs to be done once.
Once staff member B has confirmed that scheduling privileges have been assigned, staff member A will be able to schedule one-off or recurrent meetings on behalf of colleague B by choosing their name on the “Schedule for” drop down menu when scheduling a meeting.
Once you have set all of the other meeting options, just click save and your colleague will now be the Zoom host for this meeting.
